DESCRIPTION:Tom has developed an economic development strategy for N.M. which exploits our states lowest cost (COE) of renewable electricity in the U.S. advantages (LCORE). Tom is now working to develop ultra-long duration (ULDs) pumped storage hydro projects with energy storage durations of 50 to 100 hours. He has developed associated power generation asset portfolio models that provide understanding of the\ndynamics\, economics\, and reliability of no-carbon systems. Tom will speak on N.M.’s renewable energy cost advantages and pathways to decarbonize our electricity generation portfolio.
